Election Chaos

Whenever an organization or locality holds elections, violence follows. Witness the recent Nairobi Mayoral elections and KNUT elections. When it happens once in a while, we can dismiss it as a minor hitch, but when it happens over and over again, there is a much larger issue at play. I can scarcely remember a Nairobi city council election that did not end in chaos. This is a sad commentary on our leaders and the people of Kenya. As we would say in nusery school: shame, shame, shame on you.

Do nothing congress/parliament

Read this editorial in USAToday a couple of days back, tis quite interesting that Kenyans and Americans see their legislators in a similar light. Though the Congress has obviously done more - in committee and on the floor - than their hapless counterparts in Kenya.
